Kamloops Search and Rescue helps out injured mountain biker

KAMLOOPS – A group of mountain bikers in the Kamloops area “did everything right” when they realized an injured friend needed medical attention.

Kamloops Search and Rescue manager Alan Hobler says crews responded to a report of an injured mountain biker on Sunday, May 21.

Hobler said there was fear the injured biker was suffering from a spinal injury, but they friends he was biking with in the Jamieson Creek Forest Service Road area took good care of him and called for assistance.

“I think they did everything right,” Hobler said. “They were equipped, they had a first aid kit, they stabilized him right away.”
