Body of missing Cache Creek fire chief Clayton Cassidy located

— Ashcroft Cache Creek Journal — Ashcroft RCMP confirmed on Sunday, May 28 that the body of missing Cache Creek fire chief Clayton Cassidy was located late on the evening of Saturday, May 27. “We’re happy in one way, sad in another,” said one of Clayton’s brothers, Patrick Cassidy, following the news. Injured elderly woman rescued from trail south of Kamloops

— From InfoNews – KAMLOOPS – Search and rescue crews carried an injured woman on a stretcher along icy trails for more than a kilometre from the wooded area of McConnell Lake south of Kamloops yesterday. The woman, in her 70s, was taken to hospital after crews safely transported her from the area where she fell to the waiting ambulance, according to Alan Hobler with Kamloops Search and Rescue. Report of two in the Thompson River was actually a dog and owners

— From InfoNews.ca – KAMLOOPS – After patrolling the Thompson River, Search and Rescue crews learned it was actually a dog and its owners that had fallen through the ice. Search manager Alan Hobler says KSAR were deployed to the Thompson River when someone called in with a report of two people struggling in the river east of Lafarge.
